BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE SAUCE

A rich and creamy hot fudge with a bittersweet undertone.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate - chips or chopped
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted cream butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
- 2 tablespoons liqueur (Kahlua, Frangelico or Chambord), optional
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Place the chocolate in a medium-size mixing bowl. Bring the cream to a boil, then add butter and sugar and stir to combine. Remove from the heat and pour over the chocolate.
- Whisk vigorously until melted and combined. Add your liqueur of choice along with the vanilla and stir constantly until the mixture is cool to the touch. Warm before serving.
