CANDIED GINGER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup diced candied ginger
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour, mixed with 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Use a 1-quart Mason Jar to layer the ingredients in the order listed. Press each layer firmly into place before adding the next ingredient.
ATTACH THE FOLLOWING RECIPE TO THE JAR
- Empty cookie mix into a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
- Add 1 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter at room temperature (not melted), 1 egg slightly beaten and 1 teaspoon vanilla and mix until completely blended.
- Roll heaping tablespoons into balls. Place 2-inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350ºF for 13 to 15 minutes.
- Cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
- The cookies firm up when completely cooled. Enjoy! Yields 3 Dozen Cookies
