GRILLED BACON & CHEESE-STUFFED JALAPEÑO BITES

Ingredients

  • 12 green jalapeno peppers
  • 3 tablespoons La Victoria Salsa Suprema
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups Mexican Blend cheese, shredded (or your favorite shredded cheese)
  • 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Cut each jalapeno in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds and the veins. Place each pepper cut side up on a work surface and trim the bottom of the pepper, if necessary, using a sharp paring knife, to ensure that the pepper sits flat.
  2. Combine the La Victoria Salsa Suprema, cream cheese, and shredded cheese in a mixing bowl and stir to combine. Combine the breadcrumbs and bacon in another bowl and stir to combine. Stuff each jalapeno half with a tablespoon of the cheese mixture. Sprinkle the tops of the stuffed peppers with the breadcrumb mixture.
  3. Grill the stuffed jalapenos, cut side up, over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes or until the jalapenos are tender and the cheese is melted. Serve hot.
