GRILLED SUMMER FRUIT WITH BROWN SUGAR GLAZE
Ready in: 15 MinTotal time: 15 Min
Grilling fruit caramelizes the natural sugars and creates incredible flavor. Any juicy fruit, like stone fruit, strawberries, and bananas works well. Serve with ice cream or pound cake with a dollop of whipped cream for the perfect sweet ending to a summer barbecue!
Ingredients
- 4 peaches, halved and pits removed
- 4 nectarines, halved and pits removed
- 1 pineapple, rind removed, cored and sliced into 8 slices
- 2 sticks (8 ounces) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Tradewinds ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat the grill to high. Place the melted butter in a wide, shallow bowl or aluminum pan. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a separate wide, shallow pan. Dip the cut side of each peach and nectarine half in the melted butter, then into the sugar mixture. Shake off any excess. Arrange the fruit on the grill, sugar side down and grill 2 to 3 minutes or until caramelized. Repeat the same procedure with the pineapple slices.
