SALTED CARAMEL ESPRESSO MARTINIS

Seriously, these are TOO good!

Ingredients

  • 1-ounce Vodka
  • 2 ounces Caramel Liqueur or Butterscotch Schnapps
  • 1-ounce espresso or strongly brewed coffee
  • Sea Salt Caramel (or prepared caramel + 1/4 teaspoon sea salt)
SEA SALT CARAMEL:
  • 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Two or three liberal pinches of sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, caramel liqueur and espresso.
  2. Shake until well chilled and strain into a martini glass. Drizzle a small amount of caramel over the top of the drink, then sprinkle with a little fleur de sel.
FOR THE CARAMEL:
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve warm.
