SPICY BACON CANDY

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sliced bacon
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ancho chile powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Mix the brown sugar, chile powder, black pepper and cayenne together and spread out on a large plate. Press both sides of each bacon strip into the sugar mixture until coated and then arrange on the prepared baking sheets.
  3. Bake until the bacon is golden and glazed, turning once, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely.
