A delightful treat for the kid in all of us! The combination of the salty pretzels with the sweet chocolate and the spicy candy is delectable. Pack these festive goodies in candy bags and give as gifts or set them out on the dessert buffet at your holiday party.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peppermint candies or candy canes, crushed
  • 12 ounces bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 24 large Bavarian Pretzels

Instructions

  1. Place the crushed peppermint candies on a large plate.
  2. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate until smooth. Or, melt the chocolate in the microwave on 50% power, in 30-second increments, until melted.
  3. Dunk each pretzel three-quarters of the way into the melted chocolate. Immediately roll the chocolate-coated pretzel in the candy bits. Transfer the pretzels to a silicone-lined or parchment paper-lined baking sheet to allow the chocolate to set. Store airtight at room temperature.
