I love the local movement in Ojai, the proud farmers, and their sweet, seedless, delicious tangerines. Pixie Tangerines are delicious eaten out-of-hand, the juice makes a beautiful vinaigrette whisked with a teaspoon of Dijon mustard and olive oil and their flavor lends itself to this refreshing cocktail beautifully, highlighting some of my favorite flavors. Ingredients
- 3 Ojai Pixie Tangerines from Melissa’s Produce
- 8 fresh mint leaves
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar
- 3 ounces Vodka or Tequila
- Club Soda
- Ice
Instructions
- Peel the tangerines and split each tangerine in half. Please the tangerines mint and agave in a cocktail shaker or cocktail glass and use a muddler or the long end of a wooden spoon to muddle the ingredients together. Add the Vodka or Tequila and fill the shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain the cocktails over a fresh glass of ice and top with a float of club soda.
