Halloween will come and go, and you might just be left with a cauldron of candy! Pillowcases full of treats or mounds of candy piled by the door; and the kids have gotten more than their fill already! So what’s a great cook to do? This is our roundup of ideas and inspiration for what to do with leftover Halloween Candy:

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. MAKE THE LEFTOVERS VANISH WITH A CANDY BAR MILKSHAKE: In a blender, combine your favorite ice cream, milk and a handful of your favorite Halloween candy. Blend until smooth.
  2. CREATE A CANDY BAR ICE CREAM TERRINE: Line an 8-by-4½-inch loaf pan with plastic wrap. Arrange mini candy bars (mini Snickers or Milky Way work great) on the bottom of the pan. Top the candy with softened ice cream and press gently, to create an “ice cream loaf”. Freeze until firm, about 6 hours. Invert onto a plate and slice.
  3. DESIGN YOUR OWN CANDY BARK: Melt dark, milk or white chocolate, then spread it on a silicone mat-lined baking sheet. Top with candy corn, dried cranberries and pretzel pieces. Refrigerate until set, then break into shards. (Save your Halloween candy and make this simple sweet as an addition to your Thanksgiving Dessert Buffet. Using Halloween candy for Thanksgiving desserts? Now that's just efficient holiday planning!)
  4. TAKE FROZEN BANANAS TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL: Insert a wooden stick or skewer into a half of a peeled banana. Dip the banana halves in tempered chocolate, then top with chopped up Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Freeze until firm.
  5. MAKE CANDY SNACK MIX OR HOMEMADE CANDY CARAMEL CORN: Simply mix store-bought Caramel Corn with chopped candy pieces or combine your favorite Chex Cereal, toasted pecans or peanuts and chopped-up candy.
  6. I LOVE PEPPERMINT PATTY BROWNIES: …or a brownie with just about anything secretly tucked inside! Start with your best brownie batter. Line a baking pan with aluminum foil and spread half the batter on the bottom. Cover the batter, leaving a 1-inch border, with Peppermint Patties or mini candy bars. Spread the remaining brownie batter on top. Bake and devour.
  7. MAKE CANDY BAR CUPCAKES: A quick and simple recipe, made easy with a boxed cake mix. Garnish the top of the cupcakes with broken pieces of your favorite Halloween candy to make Candy Bar Cupcakes! Recipe Here!
